untitledThe conference ‘Interpreting Communities: Minority Writing in European Literary Fields’ took place at the Institute of Modern Languages Research, University of London on 29th and 30th October 2015.

 

The programme covered a variety of languages and cultural contexts, from Basque literature to postcolonial Italian writing.

 

Loredana Polezzi, from the TML project, spoke on re-reading translation ethics and politics in relation to contemporary mobile communities. Her paper was entitled ‘From Truth to Honesty: Migration, Writing and Self-Translation’.
